This year marks a major milestone for Home & Hearth Remodeling and Restoration — our 20th anniversary!
It’s humbling to realize how far we’ve come. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, roughly half of all construction companies close their doors within the first five years. Reaching twenty years in business means something — and we’re deeply grateful to the clients, partners, and community members who made it possible.
Built on Trust, Relationships, and Reputation
From day one, we’ve focused on quality work and honest relationships. Over the years, we’ve earned the trust of local suppliers who now refer clients to us — something that doesn’t happen unless a contractor has truly earned respect. Suppliers don’t risk their own reputations lightly, and their confidence in us means a lot.
We also value the strong working relationships we’ve built with local building inspectors. Their respect for our craftsmanship, permitting accuracy, and attention to code compliance helps to keep every project running smoothly for our clients.
People Matter: Keeping Talent in the Trades
A strong reputation with the workforce is important, too. Staffing has become more of a challenge with a drop in those enrolled in the trades. There simply aren’t as many talented young people to replace those aging out of the field. We’re proud of our low turnover as we try to keep and invest in the people we have. We even have reunion parties for old staff to return and enjoy time with their former coworkers, because people matter.
Expanding with Design–Build Services
As our clients’ needs have evolved, so have we. Our Design–Build Services now include 3D visualizations that help homeowners see their project before construction begins.
With lifelike renderings, clients can experiment with cabinet colors, countertop materials, lighting, and more — refining every detail until it perfectly matches their vision. It’s a fun, interactive process that takes the guesswork out of remodeling and ensures confidence in every design choice.
We’ve also added an ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit) design tool right on our website. Homeowners can use it to visualize where an ADU would fit on their property and what size works best — making it easier than ever to explore new housing options.
Staying Ahead on Energy Efficiency and Code Changes
Energy efficiency has become one of the most rapidly changing areas of building code. Whenever a remodel involves an older home, new energy standards often come into play — and we stay on top of them.
From insulation and air sealing to the installation of efficient heating and cooling systems, we’re committed to helping clients live more comfortably while using less energy. Our goal isn’t just to meet code — it’s to exceed it.
Serving Homes and Businesses Alike
Today, Home & Hearth provides remodeling and construction services for a wide range of projects — from custom home renovations to light commercial spaces and office build-outs. No matter the size or scope, we approach every job with the same care, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.
A Heartfelt Thank You
To our loyal clients, trusted partners, and dedicated team members — thank you for making these twenty years possible. Your confidence and support have allowed us to grow, innovate, and continue doing what we love: creating beautiful, functional spaces that make people feel truly at home.
Here’s to the next chapter — and to the next 20 years of building together at handhremodeling.com!
